Cranky Mare « Thread Started on Oct 28, 2008, 1:13am »
Demeter led her Cirollo mare toward the Equine clinic. "I do hope that you are alright." She said as she rubbing the mare's shoulder as they walked. She had phoned ahead so the vet was expecting them.
She frowned toward the mare who had become very temperamental as of late. Well... more so than normal. She had started nipping when being saddled, and kicking out when being mounted. "I wonder if it's your back?" She shook her head as they kept walking.
Arriving at the clinic, she tied the mare to a hitching post and walked around to the office door to announce their arrival. "Excuse me, Dr Mathews?" She spoke up as she tapped on the door.

Sara Mathews, walked to the door and opened it. She looked up and smiled. "Good to see you again. Now lets take a look at your mare." Sara said stepping out side and to where the mare was. "We can do this outside." Sara said as walked to the side of the horses neck. "Hey girl." Sara said as she ran a hand along neck to her back. She slowly ran it down the mares side pocking in spots and then under the belly. She was not fat and that was easy to tell but what was wrong. She ran a hand to a lower point of the belly and soon stopped and stepped back. She looked the mare over once more before turning to Dem. "Happy to declare that your mare is expecting a foal.
ooc: I'll make the foal all you have to do is post in the breeding center since making foals are my job))

Demeter grinned. "That is so awesome!" She cried as she hugged the mare's neck. "You're going to be a..." Suddenly she sobered up. "No! That can't be possible. The only stallion she has been near is Jack, and that was in our lesson. She hasn't been served by any stallions and I've had her for years so it can't have happened before I got her."
